C300: Question about exposure metering on the C300

I don't own a c300, but have the intention of getting one. I hired this camera a while ago and absolutely loved everything about it except I just wish there was one additional feature on the camera, a similar exposure metering bar like the one on the c100 and all the video dslrs (see image below).

Any chance we might be getting a firmware update that will enable this feature?

Note: I have used the waveform monitor to adjust exposure and its brilliant, but in a run and gun situation a simplified exposure meter would makes things much easier for me.

Using Zebras (which the C300 has) has been a standard for exposing broadcast cameras for decades. Once you get used to using them it is very fast and very accurate.

The OP stated that they would like a simplified exposure meter for run and gun. If I am not using C-log I set my zebras at 95% so I know where the hottest values are just before they are overexposed. Once you get used to using zebras it is very fast and very accurate. Not as good as a waveform, but it can give you very quick feedback in a run and gun situation.

+1 Zebras 95% this is a great way to go. If I have time or it is a full production shoot I always use a waveform monitor
