you open a new project and do windows video

then chose well, actually to get proper 2.35:1 even though its not mathimatically correct, its 720x270, but maybe you want something even wider.

and when you render to raw dv and then encode to dvd? it will automatically apply the correct letterbox?

Solution... Matrox dv-codec (set the settings to yuv to RGB). No i don't need the hours of rendering! It works great. Strange that some people on this thread argue that the grabs look good! Maybe i'll post another example!
