Putting your camera inside a refrigerator?

Has anyone done this with a T2i? I wanna try getting a point of view from inside the refrigerator but I'm a bit worried about putting my camera in there. It wouldn't be for a long time. Probably less than a minute.

I would be worried about condensation forming. Is there any possibility of unplugging the fridge and letting it come to room temperature/humidity?

Not a good idea. A friend of mine, MaranFilms here on DVX, did that at a convenience store and forgot to plug it back in. About $1k of ice cream ruined.

be very careful
t2i is not weather sealed like the 7d
any sudden change in temp can cause condensation to form on the mirror inside

same with lenses that are not weather sealed, moisture can appear on elements inside the lens

Well... that would obvisouly be covered by "is there any possibility."

We're making movies here... not running convenience stores!! empty the fridge of everything but props and keep the rest in a cooler.

I'd recommend you get the shot really quick before condensation starts to build up. Unless it's a long shot. But if it's just a few seconds, get everything ready, hit record, then stick 'er in for a few seconds. I would say at the minute mark is when bad things could start to happen

Done it, Works Fine.. Hard to Focus Tho, You Need an LCD somewhere in there to get usable Focus.

But IT works Even the 7d will Fog up in Temp Changes,, Im in Puerto Rico right now and Humidity Is killing all my Shots, Have to keep the lenses clean at all times this helps
