PUSH - Directed by Matt Sconce

WHAT! Visual Effects this coming week... I thoujght I had till July for those!

You torturer you... July... yeah right. I think you should have all of the VFX done in at least one hour...

Good seeing you yesterday while planning the fly rig. If you could just keep busy you may add up to something someday. :2vrolijk_08::2vrolijk_08::2vrolijk_08:

Is that all it takes! SWEEEET!!!!

Matt, are you saying that this is wrong.... Tell me what you really feel... don't hold back!

:Drogar-Happy(DBG)::2vrolijk_08::cheesy:

Well, it MAY take a bit more.

Also, I had a great chat with Matt last evening on the DARK POOL script. Cool story... Matt is such a good yarn spinner!

I am going to fiddle with the rig by setting it up in my front yard to test. I may fly my cat... HA! (Meeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrr!) If forced we could shoot there but there are always bugs attracted to lights at night. We could spray them with 'death spray' though...:violent5:

I am working on the Hyperfly Rig tonight. I am making it so it will have separate ability to pull upward and also to tilt the body. Body harness will be separately 'yankable' at the center of the back. The tilt function will be controlled by waist belt 'Y' tails. This rig should last us for all future flys as it is adjustable to height and distance traveled, adjustable to direction of force, and controlled by only two people; one brakeman and one puller. YAY!

Shhwweeeeeeet! I just figured out how to hoist the actor's body with a built in electric winch on the fly rig sled. Yah!

That is pretty spiffy.

UPDATE:
I have found the last needed voice actor for PUSH. ADR is taking place with Mike Aro at 9pm this Wednesday. Mark and I went through the remaining VFX shots, and have them in workable sequences in AE. They should be done by Friday because this weekend is the first of two weeks of production for shoot ing Netherborn and the Impossible race.:2vrolijk_08:

I look forward to seeing the Rough final later.

I am halfway done with the Hyper-Fly rig. I am building a truss structure that will be also able to be used as a flying camera mount for flying the camera above the action with an angle rig. My Hyperdock is now mounted on a Century stand and holds both the Hypercam arm and Hypercam sled perfectly.

I am almost competely ready for NETHERBORN now. I still need a brave 'victim' to fly on the rig the first time...:kali: :violent5: :nads: :cheesy: Troy?

Yeah!!!! it's so close to being finished! it's so exciting!! Makenzie is so proud of her daddy!!

He is really good at what he does.

Hey Heather, we could fly Makenzie on the Hyper-Fly rig later after some vict... er, test subject makes sure it is safe.

I will volunteer to fly.

Ha! Thanks. I think it will be fun to get hooked up and launch on the HYPER-FLY rig. We will be using the rig this weekend on the NETHERBORN set. I think that Troy (Oshme - The Impossible Race) Ruff is the first victim. Then as soon as we see no one will die , (they won't... it is really strong!) the actor on set gets hooked up and flown. You can fly on it someday too! I have 100ft of cable so the flight could be really run!

I am finishing the rig today in fact. The sled is done except for the pulley attachments on the top. I wanted to check one more place in Fresno to see if there are any pulleys with precision bearings before I weld them on. Pulleys have to be openable so the top cable will be able to be just set into them.

I am fiddling with the winch set-up and where it will be located on the sled. I want it to be removable easily, yet be centered weight-wise, but as you can tell from looking at all winches, they are heavy on the electric motor side. I am looking at putting in the motor centered by balance and moving the cable via 2 pulley wheels to drop directly centered on the sled. It is all in the angles and minimizing frictional forces. I am running the controls by wire off the Hyper-Fly sled to behind the camera side, but ultimately want to radio-control both the winch and pull cable later.

It will be a nice addition to our film company and will give Matt and Mark a whole lot of other things to put in their films. It will also be secondarily a flying camera mount that will be able to fly the Red Camera and other lighter cameras over, toward, through and away from the action, and will be able to change angles of the camera. It will have an attachment point for the low rig of the Hypercam. Imagine setting the rig on a really long cable and rolling it slightly down grade over a huge battle scene, with the shot view transmitted and the X and Y angles all controllable by radio... Poor man's helicopter shot!

I will be running the Hypercam on the shoot too. Busy, busy, busy.

Matt, bring all your electrical cord 'Y's to the Netherborn set.

I am deadline fighting today... I have to finish the Hyper-Fly rig last details... Have to figure out how to carry two ladders on the station wagon with no roof rack... Have to load all the generators, fuel, electrical assessories, Hypercam and gear, century stand, cart, table, chairs, tools, welder, protective hats, change of clothing, food, water, sunscreen... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Man, I need a trailer... :undecided

I will bring all my power stuff. About the Hyperfly...You can do it!:2vrolijk_08:

Now on to Push: UPDATE

Last night was fun times! Mike Aro and I met with the lead and another local actor and recorded the last ADR sessions. We finally recorded the voice on the phone and other parts we had not done in principle. It was very cool to see the movie with almost all the sound!

Mike Aro will be finishing the audio foley work this upcoming week in time for us to get it to Justin Durban on the 20th when he gets back from vacation. Mark should be finishing the effects this week as well. If all goes well...except for the score...Push should be done on the 17th.:kali:

Almost a full month in advance! Congratulations. I'm massively jealous.

I've been quietly following this thread for a while now and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you guys have come up with. Doubly excited since it looks like there's some very cool tech behind this project.

I am definitely doing something with this movie that I have never done before. Action scenes are new for me and I definitely wanted to "Push" the envelope in this area to broaden my abilities.:kali: I am very excited about how it is turning out.:cheesy:

Thanks for staying tuned!!!

Wow, that's great Matt! You have been working so smart to finish early.
Being done early is the best. You will have time to tweak on the final version.
Let's have a PUSH party then and get pizza! :)
