Not too shabby, Matt and Mark! (actually... pretty f'n awesome!)

Great thread here. Love the updates, the prop, the info.... keep it up and good luck!

You guys ROCK!

What part did RED not send? And what problems are you having mounting the FF?

They did not send the attachment for the rail system so we cannot use the Red Rails or put it together to have it shoulder mountable. We are having to adapt a Cavision rail system to hold all of this and use a Red rock follow focus, which is not at the right height on the rails to interact with the Red lens. Lots of preparation work, but my dad is an engineer inventor guy and he is machining these parts today for tonight's shoot. We should be good to go. I will post BTS shots after the next two shoot days.

UPDATE:
Tonight and Saturday will be the first 2 of 4 shooting days for Push. Saturday will also be shooting for Netherborn.:cheesy:

That is pretty amazing, huh? I don't know much about Green Screen and keying and all that jazz, but I can see that you were able to key-out the green even through the tiny hairs in his mustache!

You mean the red bottom plate? you'd still need the red 15mm adapter mounted on a universal mount to get the RR FF up there.

Also, why 2k 2:1?

Hey, Matt ... I see you start shooting tonight. Guess I took too long getting back to you with any thoughts ... hopefully my initial thoughts were helpful.

Looking forward to it, it should be pretty awesome!

I notice in that key, you also lost the shine in his eye .... but other than that, fantastic key

Yep, this was after only one click. :-) That shows the coolness factor of Red. The key was not massaged at all.

Matty G. I am interested to know what your thoughts on 2k 2:1 are. Do you have another reccomendation for our setup? We will be editing in Premiere Pro CS3 and using after effects a ton.

It is almost time! I am excited!

I've only worked with red footage on an apple so i don't really know about the pc workflow.
Are you editing with the proxies? are you transcoding footage anyway?

We are not able to edit with the proxies because PC does not support the codec yet. We are going out of Red Cine and rendering out Tiff files per frame. (25mb a frame!):huh:

Very, very cool.

Matt, you guys have a great shoot tonight. Looking forward to a good report and some great bts!

Hey Matt, you interested in having some fellow Fresno filmmakers as curious set visitors??? (myself and Roque aka. BrodieMash from the Fresno blog 'The Dumb are Intrigued by the Drum') Haha lemme know!

Sure Bryan! Come on down. We will put you to work. We will be setting up our green screen stage at 6pm and starting filming at 8pm. The only issue is there are not Bathrooms. (We will have to use nature or drive to facilities.):embarasse We may be shooting with the red but we are still broke Indie Filmmakers! haha
