GH4 Purchasing dilemma: Should I get the YAGH as well? Who is buying it?

For you, probably. For a professional environment that needs multiple monitoring sources and TC sync, it certainly is not.

Great! The only issue I worry about is the micro hdmi connection. Hopefully someone will come up with a locking device.

There are already a few locking devices available.

I will get the Shogun, then purchase the YAGH, or hopefully something better a third party releases.

Shouldn't any HDMI lock that worked for the GH3 work for the GH4?

The HDMI lock on Fhugen Honu cage works with the GH4's micro HDMI port.

Thank you so much everybody for all of that feedback. After carefully reading over all these posts, I decided not to buy the YAGH after all and just wait and see. Interestingly, while there are already dozens of reviews of the GH4 out there on youtube, I have yet to find any reviews of the YAGH. While the GH4 is selling like hot cakes, the YAGH interface doesn't seem to be attracting that much interest. I'll keeping looking for any reviews and discussions about the YAGH, but so far i haven't found any.

You won't find many reviews is because it's only just being released. There are barely any units shipping as of yet.

Once it gets into users' hands there will be reviews.

Waste of money.

If you don't need TC or SDI, then it may be a waste of money. But if you do, it's the only current solution and hardly a waste of money.
