I'd like RED to create a "pseudo RAW" recording feature. This feature would record the following; the current settings on the camera, a few f-stops below current settings, and a few f-stops above current settings. This would cut down the huge file sizes that complicate RAW-shooting while still offering some amazing benefits.
-not worrying as much about over/under exposure
-increasing dynamic range (overlaying two files and keying out highlights or lowlights)
This feature would be applicable whether shooting 720p or 4k.
