My idea would be for the camera to simultaneously record a compressed proxy video file that could be used for...well, it could be used for many purposes. Dailies, offline edits, field viewing, web, etc. If the proxy files have the same TC as the full-rez footage, this would be a seemless way to edit offline in the field without needing a computer that meets all of the requirements of the full-quality footage.
