Protection Filter

Hi guys,

Since I'm about to buy my A1 one of these days, I also need a protection filter to spare my lens. Can anybody recommend me one?

I was thinking about a polarizer filter of UV filter, but I don't know if either of them is also good for low-light shots. Or should I use another filter?

Also, does it matter if for instance it's a Nikon 72mm filter?

Any UV filter will work to protect the lens. I'm not sure about this but I heard some where that there are some better then others. I use a Tiffen UV filter on mine.

Don't use a polarizer filter unless you're looking for the look that the poarizers provide out doors.

Also, you're correct about the size. It's 72mm.
 
I just saw that a Tiffen UV-filter costs 28 euro's here.
Is the quality of your Tiffen UV-filter good enough? Cause it's quite cheap I think.
 
Many lower quality UV filters can degrade the resolution of your image slightly. Make sure to get a high end filter suitable for HD recording.
