I just got the final thumbs up on this today, so I'm gonna burn to DVD and deliver so that they can make it live on their website, think about distribution, send to youtube, and deliver to TV stations to run as PSAs.
The campaign is "What do we have to do to get your attention?" The Red Cross finds itself utterly frustrated at the Bay Area, where 83% of residents are NOT prepared for a major earthquake, the likes of which we had just over 100 years ago in 1906. (Coincedentally, the pub next door to my apartment holds a clock that fell off a wall when the shaking started in 1906, hit the ground and never ticked again. Its hands are frozen at 5:17).
I shot SD on the HVX-200 w/ spider brace, handed the footage to my girlfriend to edit, and then I did the music and made the fine cuts and requests from the Red Cross staff. My involvement here ends, but I'm proud of it and I hope that the campaign is successful and gets more people to prepare earthquake kits. As the spokesperson says, "The earthquake IS coming."
