C100: Profile Pickle

Hi all, I got a 2 camera shoot coming up in a few days with a C100 & Sony EX1. Just wondering if anyone has happened to tweak a profile for the EX1 to help match the C100?

I will record to ProRes HQ from both cameras to help with latitude for grading so im not overly concerned but would love a good neutral EX1 profile if possible.

Cheers! :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

I have exactly that setup. I tend to use CineGamma 3 and the normal (not HiSat) matrix on the EX1 with WDR on the C100. It's not an exact match, but it's close enough for most things that will go through a little work in post - certainly it's a minor tweak on the colour board in FCPX prior to multicam. It's not quite matching enough for vision mixing, though.

Watch the sharpening, though. WDR has it set to -2 which is fine for quick turnaround stuff, but I like to dial the Detail enhancement way back on both cameras and add sharpening in post if I have the time. It can be disconcerting to see unsharpened rushes for the first time, but it comes out very nicely when you sharpen in post.

Thanks Matt. I too use CineGamma 3 and standard matrix. I also have my C100 detail to -8.
So If i leave the EX at its default detail then the EX should be close.
