Professional Scenes Settings

I just pruchase the HVX200 last week and should be getting it in the next 2 weeks. I worked with this camera before and was woundering about the Five Scene Settings. I know (I heard about this) that there are Professional Settings that are given out by the guy whom made this camera. I heard about this from Professional Camera Men that worked witht his camera. If you guys can help me out on this, that would be great.

Thanks,

Murray

There are six scene files that can be loaded at once, not five.

The guy that made the camera is Panasonic, and they have presets that are assigned to the six scene files. The scene files can be changed of course, but you can also restore the defaults at any time. Beyond that, Panasonic does not include any scene files.

Panasonic did include Barry Green's HVX200 book as part of a promotion with cameras purchased from authorized dealers, and the book comes with additional scene files. I'm not sure if the current promotion includes the book as well.

I'm betting you are talking about the settings in Barry's book that THoff mentioned. While didn't "make" the camera - he knows it very well and he and his book are a wealth of information. Not sure how much or if Barry had a hand in the design. As for "professional" settings - they're all professional. Definitely get Barry's book.

seriously, if you keep everything at "0" in the settings, and put everythin to "norm" it looks great.

the problem with Barry's book and the promotion....it takes forever to get it.

I've had the hvx200 for 2 months, no book. seems backwards, to learn the camera by yourself, then to get a book months later to tell you how to use it.

Did you not get a manual with the camera? That will tell you how to use it. Barry's Book will add to the knowledge and you need to have read the manual firts or Barry's Book will be of very limited use.

yeah I read the manual, I guess I should of said "how to use it better". the manual only says so much on the scene settings.
