Hello guys!

I looking around for a Production Monitor and i wonder what do u use? i know about fsi monitors, and its seems like that they are really good, but its kind of out of my budget.... and here in europe it coast even more... So i wonder what else is out there?

i d like to use it and for color correction and as field/director monitor on projects! would like it to be a 10 bit , with SDI (would not mind against extra HDMI port as well).....

Gladly will wait for your suggestion, but here is what i found my self:
ViewZ VZ-240PM-PL - looks like a hell of a monitor and seems like price is not that bad : 2100$ according to bh

so if anyone had a chance to use it, or other models from that brand, or just knows some info about it, plz share it!

Regards

HP DreamColor 2480zx ($629) plus an AJA converter, plus a Calibration unit, well under $2000

plz explain how it will work?

you reminded me about another 2 problems i have:

1. 10bit card, or other solution that will allows me to send 10 bit from my PC to the monitor. in fact i need TWO 10 bit outputs: 1 for my future 10bit Production Monitor, and 1 for my future 10bit "consumer" monitor

2. i am gonna need a one more 10bit "consumer" PC monitor, my current monitor is very old , not even full HD (HP w2207h) cant wait to give it to charity! would be great to hear your suggestions about it as well.
as i understand HP DreamColor 2480zx - is a good value for pc monitor , but if u think there are better ideas , plz let me know!

my current pc: I7 4930k, 32GB ram, Win7 pro 64bit, Adobe CS6 Production Premium (will learn to use davinci in future) , GTX 780 Ti 3gb

Your graphic card does not output 10bit signal, you will either need Quadro card or dedicated monitor card from AJA or BMD.

i went over many brands and models , and read lots of info, and came to the conclusion that HP Z27x is Best of what consumer monitors can offer! So i ordered it!
in fact i have made my final design after reading that blog:
http://provideocoalition.com/atepper/story/hp-revitalizes-dreamcolor-universe-with-2-new-models

seems like it can be a good one!

but now my next question: i need a 10 bit out. from what i understand in order to get 10 bit on consumer monitor - i should use DP (display port), not HDMI..... so what could output 10 bit over DP?

i found that pci card , i wonder if it will work?
