If there's a small indie theatre in your town then I'd ask them first if you could even do a screening.

There is. He's in Toronto, and there are a bunch. Sometimes making a phone call or two after consulting the Yellow Pages makes more sense than posting on a forum and having somebody seven time zones away offer advice.

The Bloor Street Cinema (which I used to live 5 minutes from) had a digital film night once a month, or a week, or something like that...I think it was on a Friday. They were always looking for people to show their shorts and other stuff.
