Problems with Uploading onto Mac

So i have downloaded the driver and tried to install it several times now.
im using Mac OS 10.4.10 and from my understanding i should plug in my camera and the p2 card should show up on my desktop and i should be able to import using Log and Transfer in FCP 6. None of that works. But i know its not my fire wire, cuz i can plug it in and painfully log and capture and create my own clips manually.
I was wondering if im missing something here. I just got my HVX on saturday, so im pretty much a noob, and all my buddies that have it are using PCs so they cant help me.
Anyone know anything.
Thanks for any help,
Bentley

Yes, cuz it reads the camera, because i can capture the video if i play the clips on the camera and just capture what the camera is playing back instead of just pulling it off the p2.

You shouldn't be able to play clips if you are connected properly via firewire to mount the P2 card as a hard drive.
It sounds as if you are in MCR mode and not PC mode (which is what you want).

To get your P2 card to show up as a hard drive would you need to switch your camera to MCR mode and then hold down the Camera/MCR button for a few seconds. The camera will then go into 'PC Mode.' The screen will go blue and you should see the message "1394 Disconnected" blinking (or something like that)... once it mounts on the Mac it will stop blinking and say "Connected"

sweet man thanks a ton.
i just didnt know to hold the camera/mcr button down thats it.
Thanks again.
