C100: Problems with Ninja 2

This was happening infrequently, but as of late it seems to occur everytime I go out and shoot.

The Ninja stops recording in the midst of a shot, and the option to record disappears.. (red icon will not be highlighted). There is definitely space left on the SSD, and the Ninja can access it because I can playback previous shots, but it refuses to record again until I format it. I've tried restarting it, connecting and disconnecting, to no avail.

Any ideas on what is going on?
 
Have you tried another SSD? Have you tried giving it a full format (not quick)? Have you checked the drive for errors or bad sectors?
