So... i have Premiere Pro 2.0. I captured 25f HDV and after, i got this image(attached). I can`t edit my footage. I have a Dell Studio laptop (Dual core 2 duo @ 2.4, 3G RAM). What should i do? How can i resolve this problem.

And... I have a Canon XH-A1s(my first real camcorder). When i zoom a strange noise comes from the camera, a "zzzzzzzz". It`s that normal?

Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

Is this just a case of PP2.0 not running on Vista? What else have you done with PP2.0 on Vista? Can you edit any kind of footage? You should also post in the Premiere forum, if you haven't already.

dont think a lappy's hardrive is fast enough for HDV - u probably need an external & that sounds not normal. Good luck

I've got a core2duo 1.66ghz laptop with a 5400 rpm drive and 2 gigs of ram. It runs PP2 on Vista with HDV no problem so I don't think that's your problem. Is everything else working good on the laptop? Usually when a computer starts acting up on me like that and I don't have the time or the incination to figure out why I just back up important documents and do a clean install of windows. The system restore is another option, or even maybe just reinstalling Premiere. The zooming noise is normal, it's just the noise of the zoom motor working.
