Hi,
I just bought a new hvx200, and although this is in no way what i got it for, I sometimes hook it up with a video in and capture some stuff off cable. Now i'v stumbled upon this webpage:
http://www.panasonic.ca/English/Broadcast/broadcast/hd/faq1.asp#1
it had this to say on the subject:
"27. Can I use the HVX200 as a Mini-DV VTR source?
Using cameras as a VTR source is possible, but if this is a function that the user would like to do all of the time, Panasonic recommends that the purchase of a VTR."
now here is my question:
I was wondering if that suggestion is because panasonic thinks that people would not get the best quality when using the camera in vtr mode, or could it be in some way harmfull to the hardware to be in vtr mode too much.
Any light shed on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
