problem with device offline

is there something in the dvx100 that I could of turned off
thats making my computer not see it when I plug it in.
I keep getting this device off line when going to capture
did'nt have this problem two weeks ago or ever be for .
help somebody.

Check the DV device controll. I use "Both" and it works fine.

Thanks a lot come to find out my fire wire port on my camera is fried
that old cable I had fried all three of my cameras,so good new ,and bad.

Yup. Its odd, DV device control shouldnt have any effect on weather or not you can capture, but for me it does. Weerd.
