Problem using wide angle lens

I have a DVX100A. I have a wide angle lens that shows a black ring at the upper and lower extremes of its range. It's a 72mm - 105mm lens. Does anyone know what causes this, and what I can do about it? :huh:

I think your talking about vignetting.

Maybe try another step up ring?

The lens isn't properly fitted on your DVX, so that is why you get the black.

Get an anamorphic lens.

I think when you get Vignetting, is because the lens isn't fitted properly to the camera.

Not to sure though...

why would he get an anamorphic lens for getting wideangle shots. For wide screen yeah that would be anamorphic but for wide angle you get a wide angle lens. You alright up thurr in the far north Mr Como?

Anyway, experement with other lenses. Thats the right screw size but you may need one with a wider front end.
