Problem Recording in HD

Hi Everyone,
I did my first hd shoot on 8 gig p2 card this weekend and didn't quite find the results I wanted to. I mean the lighting was fine and I shot in 720 24pn, it looks great in terms of frame rate but quality is nothing like HD I have seen people shooting. Either I have some setting wrong or I didn't do something right

Any tips.

What NLE did you edit it on, and how did you view the footage?

I will post 5-10 second of clip tonight but can't post entire thing due to copyright stuff.

I am editing in fcp 6.01
