Problem importing raw dv files into FCP 5.1.2

I shot a corporate video today using the fs100 and also onto tape i ahve gone through the same procedure as i do when shooting in dvc pro100hd organising the clips and them mounting the firestore before importing via fcp but i get the error message of

" WARNING clip name .dv has invalid directory structure please chose a folder whose directory structure matches the supported media"

I have my sequence settings set to dv pal
and i am totally baffled

FCP does not support the Raw DV format. It is a specific format that is supported by some specific NLEs an other systems. But FCP does not support that format. Stay away from it, it's trouble. You lost that footage unless you can find an NLE that reads the format and can convert it. Good thing you shot to tape at the same time.
