I'm debating whether or not to buy a HVX 200, so I tried out a friend's yesterday. The problem is, that when I put the P2 card into the slot on the side of my laptop, it doesn't show up as a drive on my desktop. Final cut pro can't see it either. What I do see is an icon at the top bar on the screen. When I go into it, it's called "unknown mass storage device." Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
I'm running final cut 5.0.4. I have Final Cut 6 on my MacPro, and I suppose this might be the problem, but I won't have access to the camera or the P2 card for another couple of weeks. Any help is appreciated.
