I bought on ebay this lens for my gh3, and of course i bought a fd/m43 adapter. The lens arrive and the blades will not move. With adapter on in gh3 or not, if i turn the aperture ring blades Always remain wide open. I have followed some tutorials on how to engae manually the apeture, by pressing a clip on the back side of the lens and simulating the attaching to a body..but stil no sign. Now i have been told that 1 series FD Mount (like this one have) , the silver ones that have a ring to screw to the body (i think the name should be breach-lock FD ) work only on ftb boies and nowere else. Does anyone know something about?suggestion? i already have agrred to give back the lens to seller anyway...

I have a Vivitar 28mm f2 breech lock FD mount (made by Komine - serial starts with 28) and it works with my Fotodiox and Ciecio 7 m4/3 adapters. It can be tricky to get the lens on the adapter...does your adapter have a ring that turns with "Lock-Open" on it? If so, make sure after lens is mounted on it that it is slid to "Lock" ("Open" will keep it wide open). My Fotodiox adapters have this ring, but my Ciecio 7 does not.
My procedure is always put the lens on a bit forward clockwise just sliding against the adapter and not pressing "On" or "IN" too much - at say 1 or 2 oclock (red dot on adapter being noon, red dot on lens at 1-2, gently rotating counter-clockwise pressing slightly till it drops in, then spin breech ring clockwise to lock it down.

The other alternative is that the blades are stuck. I researched the lens I bought and read the Kiron made a version as well (serial starts with 22) and many of those had issues with stuck blades (due to type of lubricant they used or something). Shine a flashlight in there and see if you see any oil or residue on or around the blades.

But to me what you're describing sounds like the lever isn't engaging properly - hope this is what it is...good luck.
