Probably stupid HPX/firewire question...

[henryhill07]

Hi there

Utter newb and probably a silly question BUT...

could I instead of purchasing and using a firestore purchase one of these firewire drives:

http://www.pcmall.com/pcmall/shop/d...0 Hard Drive REFURBISHED-External Hard Drives

Would the HPX-170 camera power the drive? I'm guessing no but no harm in asking a silly question eh?

thanks!

The HVX will not record video to a standard HDD.

The Firestore is specifically designed to record from the HVX200. Entirely different animals.
