Presets versus Color Correction

Hello everyone,

I am a new owner of the old but gold XH A1.
I have been playing with it already for some days, and come to wonder about this preset thing.
Could you guys tell me, if there is any difference between adjusting gamma curves and the other stuff in presets' settings and doing it in post?
 
There's no real difference, assuming that you would adjust your gamma curves in the same way the presets do. The thing to watch out for is that some presets make it harder than others to color correct after the fact, if you make a mistake or change your mind about how you want it to look.
 
In this case I will be keeping the camera with no preset on, like you said, I can always change my mind, and since I am not too bad at CC, I can get everything done in post. Thanks :)
