I just wanted to shout my love for cineform out to the world. I remember when I was a stupid young lad who thought his quad core rig loaded with 8 gigs could conquer all. With CS4 I happily juggled my precious footage from one crappy codec to another. SO MANY PROBLEMS!!!!!
After shooting my first short film with my T2i, converting all my footage with Cineform NEOscene has made the editing process so silky smooth. Even after I moved and effed up my motherboard resulting in my having to take out half my memory and un-overclock my CPU this **** still runs fantastic.
Oh and I also invested in an eSATA external RAID0 array and that helped too...
Still, every DSLR video freak should suck it up and spend the approx. 140 bucks (which is ALOT to a starving student like myself) and get NEOscene. You'll love yerself for it.
That's my 2 cents anyhow.
