Premiere CS4 - 720p preset IN A COUPLE OF DAYS!!!

I asked about that specifically at NAB, and the person demonstrating CS4.1 went into the menus and yes there was a whole directory of 720p presets in the AVCHD directory.

So, unless something radically changes, I expect that yes you'll have full & hopefully properly working AVCHD support in CS4.1.

No one would be happier than I if Adobe delivered "full" and "properly working AVCHD support" for Premiere/After Effects.

Unfortunately, having spent a painful decade of acquaintance with Adobe, I'll bet anyone a McDonald's Big Mac that what Adobe calls "full and working support" translates into -- "hey, we stuck in that damn preset, now send us a thousand dollars and go away."

But, with all my heart -- I hope our leader, The Honorable Barry Green, is correct.

I hear it is about to be released.
The people from Cineform have been working with a beta version and it is said to solve many lock up issues and such.

I've seen David Jimerson edit AVCHD footage on his quad computer, in CS4, in realtime. He may not have had the quality window on the highest setting though.

Somebody please post something when and if this does happens so I know if it's time for me to upgrade.
