Powering with Anton Battery (Camera & Monitor)

In my list of gear to buy, I have an external monitor that I want to add. )Small HD) I am hoping to power that up with an Anton Battery. Which Im pretty sure it can be done.

But, can I use the same battery, or another battery (if I have to) to power my Canon T2i?

*Id prefer to use the Anton because it'll help with balancing my rig.
So, if it is possible to do that, what do I need to buy to set it up to my Redrock shoulder mount rig and will it run longer on this battery?

Hello, again. :)

There is a similar question posed elsewhere on the forums - I think it was in regards to someone wanting to power their D7000 from an eBay 12V battery.

What I recommend is getting a V-mount or AB-mount battery, a battery plate for it like this, and the dummy battery for your camera - Canon ACK-E8.

It looks like the ACK-E8 runs a barrel plug DC cord from the AC/DC adapter to the dummy battery. It looks like it plugs straight into the dummy battery, which would live in your camera.

You could then cut the plug off the end of the AC/DC adapter, leaving some extra wire, and solder it to the mini DC barrel cable included with that battery plate above. Then plug that into the 7.2V out jack on the battery plate, which will power your camera.

Use the other 12V jack on the plate to power your monitor.
