Hello everyone,
Long time since I posted here. This place is so active it's easy to fall behind. Anyway, in the past few weeks I've began experiencing a problem with my 7D. This is worrying because up until now, I've never had one issue with it.
What happens is, I turn the camera on, and nothing happens. Well, the LED on the top of the camera comes on. But the back display does not. Hitting the Start / Stop button does nothing. Turning the camera on and then off does nothing either. I end up having to have to take the battery out, then popping it back in. And then it will usually power up fully when I turn the camera on.
Tonight, this problem mutating slightly, in that, I had the camera on, and when I turned it Off, the red light on the back (the Record light, I believe) stayed lit. Even though the camera was turned off, this light stayed bright, like some function was still active.
I'm running firmware 1.2.3. If I upgrade to 1.2.4 and then 1.2.5, would it possibly correct this? Or could something else being going on here?
