Poverty montage. 2005.

Hello everyone. Its great to see the positive reaction to the film. I ducked out of DVXuser.com for a while, working on other projects, and i wasn't paying as close attention to this post because of its little acknowledgment when it was posted. Now i am amazed to see all the replies.

As an appreciation to the posters in this thread, i will be posting a HI-res version of the Poverty movie, an updated version with the appropriate acknowledgments to the copyright material. I will also post the After Effects Projects for the titles sequences.

Once again i am thrilled at the response to this film. I thank everyone for taking the time to reply in this thread.

If you wish to contact me further, please do not PM me here on DVXuser.com, email me directly at Rhydon@mac.com

Amazing! Properly done video. How did you shoot the people on the street with cellphones slow motion? Was that 60i? It has that cold look, kind of reminded me of Se7en.

Great job on the editing! nice! You could be working in Hollywood editing trailers! Poverty is nothing new to me. My family was dirt poor. We didn't have a house, just a small hut built on the dirt. You think that's poverty, go to Cambodia. Many people there work 12 hour days and get paid no more than 1 dollar US currency. yes, many people there still lives in huts made from bamboo.

I like your video, looks really good!

Very nice, what took me was the audio. It was mastered very well and sounds good in 5.1.
Great Job!

I'll tell you it wouldn't be a better time then now with the Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. I'll be flying down to Mississippi to shoot a doc on the harsh recovery in a poor community.

Thanks for being one of the first to point out this issue in such a powerful way. I’m sure this doc will be really effective, I’d love to see the completed project.

I agree with everyone else, that was just awesome! I wish I had the ability to pull off something that powerful and technically elequent 2 years ago when i had to do something similar in High School. I am awed by this trailer...I really believe this could make an EXCELLENT feature documentary. Wow again, good job...I'll be looking for your name on IMDB in a few years. hehe  Also I also use soundtracks for my projects...mainly because I dont distribute them or enter festivals...it adds an authenticity I definitely could not create unless I got all the best musicans I know of and wrote a score (which I might be able to do someday...I play trumpet). It reminded me alot of times when I talk to the homeless in front of Safeway at midnight...it really is alot harder for them to get off the streets than most assume; poverty awareness is something we really need to focus on among other things. Anyways, good job.

That was absolutely AMAZING! You have no idea how inspired I am right now, in every facet! Truly beautiful work! I am obsessed with movie trailers, and this montage gave me chills!
