There's got to be some riders on here. Post up your bike(s)

This is my summer project. 1980 kawasaki KZ650.

New tires and paint are the first things on the list of things to do.

wow, a quantum leap forward from my '65 BMW R50/2.
Definitely not a girl's bike anymore : ) That's what Harley owners called beamers (among other things) back in the old daays.

again, wow.

2003 Ducati Monster 620. Sold in 2006 to help pay for school. I miss her...:crybaby:

wooooooowwww
very nice.
Did you have it painteed in satin or was it offered that way?
actually, I like every bike listed so far. Each a different personality.

Everytime I see a motorcycle zip past me on the 405 I think about getting a bike. Then I remember every person I know who's had a motorcycle has gotten into a horrific accident at some point.

Then I remember... horrific accident at some point.

Reminds me of when I was shopping for a bike when I was in college. The owner of the shop said he had been in business for 20 years and, for each one of those years, had lost a friend on one. Not exactly a salesman.

Ended up buying a Honda Rebel in the spring. Sold it at the end of the summer.

Also reminds me of "You Shall Know Our Velocity" by Dave Eggers in which Will has a conversation with a motorcyclist (in his head):
-You, on the motorcycle.
-Yes.
-It's only a matter of time.
-I know.

That finish is a standard on the black Monsters.

Yup. If I remember correctly, that model year only came in 3 colours: matte black, red (glossy) and yellow (glossy). The carbon fibre fairing was pretty much the only add-on.

I had always hoped to replace the bars, the pipes, all covers/plates to cf, turn it into a one-seater...but the cost of those Italian-imported accs was well beyond my meagre, part-time CSR wages. :violin: AFAIK, there wasn't too big a selection of after-market stuff for the Monster in Canada at the time.

Like they say, there's only two kinds of motorcyclists: those who have crashed, and those who are going to crash.

Something non-motorcyclists seem weirdly eager to harp on. They're probably just jealous.

I am. Here in Israel, motorcyclists use the shoulder with impunity during jams and travel between lanes to the front of the line at red lights.
I used to do that too, use the side of the road and dividing line to pass. The look on their faces as you pass them in the grass is funny :)

The most crazy-ass bikers I've seen so far are the guys around London. They lane-split into oncoming traffic.
