How do I add a logo to my sig?

I want to put my logo down where my website link is now, and have it be a link. But I am clueless on how to do it.

Sometimes I feel like a maroon :crybaby:

maroon. LOL

replace the { in my following code with the [

{img}www.website.com/picture.jpg{/img}

In you sig editor:

First use the "insert image" button:
insertimage.gif
to insert your image. It needs to be hosted on a server somewhere. If you don't have a server, user the "Member upload center" to store your image on DVXuser's server.

Then once the image is inserted, select it and click on the "insert link" button:
createlink.gif
and enter the URL you want your image to link to.

Preview and then save your sig. The image will be displayed from the server and will be a link to your URL of choice.

Go to the User CP in the top left of the menu section of the page.

Select Edit Signature from the left hand side.

Click this picture:
insertimage.gif

Type in the url (website address) that you have uploaded your banner image to. Or, if you haven't uploaded your banner to a website, you can upload it via the "Member Upload Center" in the middle of the menu section at the top of the page.

Then, click the image (highlight it) and click this button:
createlink.gif

enter the web address (including the http://) that you want the banner to link to.

That should do it.

Make sure you read the sticky in the cafe about how big your signature banners are allowed to be. I think it is 569x70 off the top of my head, but read the sticky first :)

PM if you have problems.

Later,
Jason

EDIT: Nevermind. Mikko is faster than me :)

Or maybe you are just slower.

But damn, how's that for identical posts?

For everyone contemplating changing their signature and wanting to include links, please be aware of the commercial signature policy. Commercial sigs are only allowed for sponsor members. If you want to have a link to your commercial site (and if you link to a site that's selling something, that's a commercial site) then you need to contact Jason Ramsey about arranging to become a signature sponsor. Thanks.

Good to know. Since I charge for my services, that would be me. I'll leave the link off. Thanks everyone.

Oh, and those cute little icons? Yeah...well I don't see them in my user CP. 'Sup with that?

In your UserCP, under "Edit Options" at the bottom there is a "Miscellaneous options" area where you can set your editor interface. Set it to "Enhanced interface. Full WYSIWYG Editing". That will give you all the tools when you edit posts/sigs/etc..

Personal sites are fine. Generally including sites for you own production company, etc. Sites that "sell stuff" is what falls under advertising. If you are unsure, run your link by a Moderator and we'll tell you if it's advertising or not.

I can typo faster than you can. :violin:

Besides, I was disgraphic as a child. So stop picking on me!

- Mikko ... is still a child.

Yeah Jim, your site's fine. If you were selling finished DVDs on that site, that would be one thing, but links to your own production company are fine.

But your photo isn't showing up in your sig; it's just a red "X".

My logos stop working for a while now, I've not changed the links, size or anything, I don't know if the mods have blocked it. But I've just not bothered with it untill I read this post.

Could be my browser, I don't know but what I do know is that I can't see it!

It would be nice to have my logo back, but not the end of the world
