Post Sharpening Procedure

Just a basic question regarding post workflow.

I shot over this past weekend, and used the altred Neutral preset, often times spoken about on here, in great lengths.

So with Sharpness reduced several notches, in order to limit the amout of moire obtained from my 720/60p shots. I'm wondering how now to add this sharpness back in post, using Final Cut 6.

I'm quite familiar with adding contrast, and Saturation back into an image but can someone point me into the correct location where I am able to choose a sharpen option.

Thanks

there should be an unsharpening tool in FCP no? Pop that filter on the footage and play around until you see desired results.

Its kinda ironic, no? The tool used to sharpen the footage is called the "UNSHARPENED TOOL", lol

It's actually called, in Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and other image editing software, "Unsharp Mask" and it's a carryover from the optical print days using negative and an enlarger to make paper prints. It uses a blurred, or "unsharp," positive to create a "mask" of the original image. The unsharped mask is then combined with the negative, creating the illusion that the resulting image is sharper than the original. This technique goes back to the 1930's, and software uses the same techniques, in a digital domain, to achieve this effect.
