post production with adobe premiere pro cs4

hi guys... i just got the adobe premiere pro CS4 and my brand new 7d camera... so im brand new to this DSLR thing... can anybody share their editing tips...can the cs4 edit footage from the 7d?....where do i start?....Those kinds of things... i herd the editing with the 7d is a BIATCH!!! LOL if you guys can point me to the right direction that would be awesome, thanks....

see if you can get an upgrade to CS5. You'll also want a 64bit operating system.

You can always transcode the footage to make it easier to edit.

You shouldn't have any issues with files from the 7D and CS4, or CS5. It would however be advantageous, as the other user suggested, to operate under a 64 bit OS. You will probably have better luck with workflow suggestions by posting in the Premiere thread:

As for help, here some advice. Check that software/hardware will do what you need it to before buying.
