New Camera Rig using Canon EF zooms on Panasonic AF100 body with a Birger mount.

Cavision Rod Support, shoulder mount, handgrips, and follow focus. Cinevate Titan Mattebox. Redrock MicroShoeClamp. Marshall 5" HD Monitor. 15mm carbon fiber rods.

Just kidding about the Birger mount. ;)

Any twist at mount? Not so much... double screws all 'round (with slight machining). Especially nice for allignment of mattebox.
Got 4 Manfrotto quick release plates to match original 503 fluid head... now have one for rails, pan head, steadycam, and Quickset Jib tripod.
Cheapo but functional moto-Pan/tilt head at end of crane really helps tracking to subject when boom pans across.
Yes, that is a Marron Carrel and an MP4 in the background... anyone need an extra boat anchor?? (hope you can enlarge the pic... it's my first attempt at an image upload)

Genus shoulder mount, Zacuto EVF with Noga arm (mounted upside down). Quick release plate for my Sachtler. Waiting for iDC gearless follow focus. About 10 lbs (much lighter than my 27 lbs Betacam camcorder) Looking for a good lens support for longer lens. Anyone have a favorite? No matte box use old series 9 filters. If I need a little sun shade use french flag that clamps on handle. Pretty well balanced without counter weights. Would like start/stop button on right grip.

Sweet looking rig. Is that an F series Nikon lens (pre AI)? If so they work well with the AF100, and which adapter have you?
I'm looking to buy an Af100; and I have a collection of fast Nikons from the 1960's and early 1970's that I would like to use with it.

Yes, I have a bunch of old F series lens (50mm f1.4) in photo. I also find myself using my 28mm and 105 F series lens quite a bit. Nice to be using 40 year old glass again. But I'm also purchasing a Nikon 17-55 zoom and probably Tokina 80-400. I use the Novaflex adapter and recommend it, very sturdy.

Work in progress

Just thought I would throw out a few pictures of our rig and lenses. So far so good. Adaptimax Plus adapter (couldn't be happier). Zacuto support/Petroff MB - had for years - rock solid. Need to work on a on-camera monitor, but surprisingly the old Marshall does resolve focus better than I thought. Lenses - Nikon 28mm(T2), 35mm(T2), 50mm(T1.4), 85mm(T1.4), 105mm(T1.8), Nikon 24-85 zoom and the Lumix 14-42. 4-32gb cards to round out the basics.
Still to do: On-camera monitor (mentioned before) - Need faster/wider lens options and need to work on a complete shoulder rig.

FYI (for those that are wondering): The Ikan FF is solid, highly adjustable, minimal (if any) lash and smooth... the kit gears suck - no question... the FF is worth EVERY penny! (Or the $400+ you save, you can by all the good gears you want. I went with D l Focus gears - just perfect) Comes with a whip and crank too.

Its a Cavision. I also have the matte box and follow focus The bracket under the B4 came with the adapt. the bolt under that came from my goodie box and was hack sawed to fit. I really like this setup. I had this lens laying around from my Panasonic Mll camera days. and for $300 bucks for the Polish adapter its worth the investment. Yes its all manual but I sorta like that.

interesting lens set up mule, how is the red rock lens support attached to each of your lenses - can it screw into the lens collar on photo 3, & is it only holding the b4 lens from underneath or is it securely fixed, looks like some kind of band around the lens? many thanks

how is the red rock lens support attached to each of your lenses " The red rock has an adjustable bracket that slides up to the lens. it is not attached. the 3rd photo is a canon EF lens and comes with the tripod adapter (ring) [ATTACH said:

I love how you can use the zoom and a Mattebox at the same time. (Not using my 14-140 that much now) Waiting for the new battery mount for the TV Logic monitor (so I can use the same batteries as for the AF100) When I use my Viogtländer MFT 25mm 0.95, I'm not using the extended rods.

(Sorry for the bad quality cell phone pics)
