Possible to use Quantum Turbo Battery with GH1?

Is there a way to plug in the GH1's included DC cable to a Quantum Turbo Battery using either a plug adapter or a third-party cable designed for this purpose? I know there's a cable by Quantum that does this for Canon DSLR's - plugs right into the battery compartment - but no mention on their site of an equivalent cable for the GH1.

I dont believe they're are any battery packs for the gh1. Canon is the ipod of the accessories market.

I don't know any thing about Quantum Turbo Batteries, but it's pretty easy to take power from another battery. In my case, I'm using a 12V 14Ah acid battery to power GH1. As camera needs about 9V, I made a simple tension regulator with a IC 7809 (1A max current), a pair of condensers. It's very simple, even you can put in without condensers: http://www.researchcell.com/general/7809-pin-and-circuit-diagram/ I'm planning to use cheap 12V 6800mAh Li-ion batteries from ebay because are lighter and more portable

In this moment I've attached DC cable plug to a piece of cable with film strip because I don't want to cut off original plug. So, do you know where to buy DC GH1 cable, original or not?? I think it could be fine to make a GH1 to 12V direct cable to any plug.

I prefer a vertical grip, but this is not bad solution.

Whoa, you just made me do the over my head gesture with all that. I was hoping for a turnkey solution since my electrical and soldering skills are very minimal (actually, nonexistent is more accurate). Oh well, I just went ahead and bought 3 spare batteries - seems to fit my needs fine so far.

htinla, I assure you it's a very easy proyect. Even you could solder this "on air", without PCB or similar. It's only 3 pin soldering ;). Actually, I've build a little box to output various voltages and connectors from a lead-acid battery, so I can plug a few devices as led light, camera or LCD.

However, I've found the original cable (it was so easy to go Panasonic webpage, I depend of ebay to much :P) over 40 euros. Anyway I'll look for a compatible cable, maybe I'd buy some of them to build some adaptors and sell them :P. But original cable it's too expensive.

I think I'll mod my original cable, it's so tempting :P.
