Pontiac Firebird Commercial 2010 (Mojave Desert) on youtube in Full HD


This 1-minute fake commercial was filmed by Hiroki Kamada and Tobias Deml, location: Mojave Desert, California.

It took us three months to edit it (we were so indecicive that we made two different versions with different endings). The camera we used was a Canon 7D, which we sometimes mounted on a cheap steadicam, sometimes on a self-built wooden camera crane that cost probably 15$ to make.

Edited on Final Cut Pro 7 and Adobe After Effects CS4. The car used is a Pontiac Firebird 1992 with T-Top; the titles were made with a glass of water, drops of milk, After Effects and Cinema 4D.

Hey,

Cool spot, liked alot of the shots. I preferred the 2nd ending. Mostly I am just not crazy about the voiceover. Sounds a bit goofy to me, but other then that, Good work.

I like the second version a lot more than the first one. The first one did make me laugh a bit, but overall it was just a bit too out there for a car commercial.

The shots are nice and the editing is fine, but oh that voiceover... I would really suggest changing it. I can't take the commercial seriously with that voice.
