For me, the most important addition to a future C300 firmware update would be getting the waveform display in the EVF monitor. But I also wish there were a way to customize the LCD info on both displays (LCD/EVF) giving us the option to turn on/off the LCD info we choose.

You can select LCD info. The waveform wasn't on the EVF of the C500 I played briefly with this week, so can't see that happening. So, for me I'll vote 1080/60p.

slow motion is the only thing that stops me from buying c300 right now......, but most likely i ll buy it anyway just will wait till 30 oct sony announcement.....

1080/60p would be really good for customers as well for Canon as this will ensure C300 remain competitive for couple of more years. That will also ensure Canon retaining the price.

A number of guys will buy the C100 with the ninja to get the quality for their work. They need not buy the C300. So C300 has to include 1080/60p in a firmware update.

I selfishly vote for having the levels show on the monitor, but not the output to director's monitor. It's more challenging doing sound on the C300 then other cams... for whatever reason, on anything else I can set tone at 0 and know on my end that so long as I don't pass 0 db I'm -20 down at the cam... meanwhile audio levels are always hot for me on the C300 unless I intentionally pretend like -6 db on the 442 is actually zero.

Also... please Canon... in the future please make right right and left left... why input 1 is on the right is ponderous... but only burned me on the first take of the first time using it. Red isn't right? Nope... not on the C300.

I would like to see "View Assist" for C-Log available on the HD-SDI out for proper on-set monitoring. Happily, Flanders Scientific monitors offer C-Log and S-Log monitoring now, but for those with other monitor brands, Canon should implement this simple firmware change and just make sure it shows a "View Assist" overlay and is defeatable when recording externally.

10-bit 4:2:2 won't happen, as this is an 8-bit camera due to hardware. 1080/60P over 24P or 30P is unlikely due to heat issues. The other two items, waveform in EVF and LCD display info options should be pretty simple for firmware updates.
