Users,

I'm considering compiling a free online User's Guide for the 5D ML RAW Project, which would be based here on DVXUser. It would cover the following topics:

A. Loading the Firmware
- Complete Step-By-Step Guide
- Links to Latest Firmware

B. Getting Prepped To Shoot
- Should You Shoot RAW?
- Recommended CF Cards
- Must-Have Accessories for Shooting RAW
- Audio Considerations

C. Camera Settings
- Setting Up ML Firmware For Shooting
- Aspect Ratios Explained
- How To Get the Most Out of RAW
- Recommended Picture Profiles (CineStyle, FLAAT, Etc.)
- Timelapse and Other ML Tools
- Shooting in Crop Mode

D. Workflows
- Native Editing in Premiere with GingerHDR
- Using Resolve with ML RAW (Proxy and DNG Workflows)
- Using LUTs in Post
- Grading with ML RAW
- Mastering and Delivery

Would this be something you guys would find useful, and would some of you like to help me create it?

It would be awesome to have all that info in one place whiere it could be updated!

I also think a LUT repository or links to them would be quite useful as well.

Would be great to have links to updated software too, like RAW2DNG.... It's hard work tracking these things down.

yup this would be awesome. I own a 7d (dammmmniitt) but still am interested in at least knowing whats going on and having all that info in one consolidated place.

It would be a great alternative to a certain guide which appears to be being sold for about $20 right now....you know the one I mean.

As long as you make a database with the builds as well. Finding the builds and staying up to date can be a pain in the butt.

I'll be testing the 14 stop build over the next couple of weeks, I'll let you know if there's anything worth adding.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I'm working on "The Guide" now, and should have the first segment (a quick-start guide) ready in the next couple of days.
