i dont think so , i think that sony already giving better price to their distributors for old products :-)
check the c-300 on that web :-)
and they are legitimit , i bought from them for about 8 grand in the past

Time to sell F3 and Scarlet and get one User friendly Single Camera which does it ALL.
F55 or F5. Then you are good for next 3 - 4 years.

I think the final winner will be us because either of this companies is waiting for the other announcement so they can announce even lower prices !
 
Sony's already said they won't be announcing prices for a few weeks. Red's already said they're announcing in a few hours. So Red's going first.

Of course, nothing's stopping Red from revising their prices after Sony makes their announcements.

All I can say is right now is NOT the time to purchase a camera at all. The Sony/RED battle of prices will hopefully shift the whole market for s35 cinema cam prices. If I had the money just laying around and cost was not a factor and both systems were available, I would pick the Sony just due to the support you will get from them. They have more resource and at these prices I need the piece of mind that if something does go wrong with my camera, there is support behind it. I like both systems, don't get me wrong.

Sony should have used E-mount on F series of cameras. That mount has far more adapters.
 
Yeah, I would not trust hanging a big cine-lens from an E-mount. I have a PL adapter for E-mount for my NEX-5 photography camera and I HAVE to mount the camera/support the camera from the lens mount!

The Phantom Flex has a CMOS sensor with a Global Shutter. It's been commercialy avilable for several years. In fact, with the exception of the Phantom HD Gold and Phantom 65 Gold, all Vision Research Phantom cameras have had Global Shutters.
 
Anyone know if new F cameras will shoot interlaced? Doesn't appear so.

Also are the claimed ISO values taken from SLOG2? If so then non-log ISO should be half that me thinks.

Anyone confirm or deny?

When it comes to Red, you can't trust anything from anyone unless it comes from Jim or Jarred. By reposting that, you are just spreading the fire. Let's just wait a couple of hours. Go see 'The Master' or something. :)
 
yeah nothing concrete yet only Jarred stating one person guessed correctly in a certain thread, no indication of who, no indication of if it was a price guess or upgrade procedure. Considering it's red who knows what they will announce so best to wait until after especially as Ryan says it's only a few hours away best not add to the fires, but if you'd like sit back and watch them burn themselves out... it's rather fun.

Funny the things that get posted in other cameras announcements.

Total BS. Price change will be Epics only at this time as per J's post. RED Scalet even with current price is still a very affordable way to acquire 4k RAW 16-bit...

No they are not. That is simply misleading information thats not good for someone looking to buy. Globalmediapro are grey market - no warranty. Buy your F3 or C300 from there and watch as Sony and Canon run from you when something goes wrong.

Sorry all - thats OT, but wanted to clarify.
