After I sync I want to export the audio with zoom into a new clip. I exported the 40 minute interview as qt unchecked make movie self contained. The clip was 25 gb does this sound correct? I was hopping for a smaller file to deal with any suggestions?

Im not sure what your question has to do with Plural Eyes. The File size depends on the video codec and resolution of the sequence settings in Final Cut. (and the length of the .mov)

I am exporting current settings which is pro res as qt file so I can continue to edit synced fotage with in a 7d friendly sequence. So does this sound like the best way to do this as for linking the clip to new audio and not taking up double the space.

An alternative would be to:
1. Unlink the audio and video tracks of the clip
2. Delete the audio clip you don't want
3. Trim the synced audio clip to fit the video
4. Link that audio clip to the video.

Just turn off the audio tracks that you don't want to hear, and don't want in your final Export. It won't take up Double space. In fact I think its a GOOD idea to not delete them, since they are the reference audios... If you end up out of synch later in your project you'll want them around. Final cut will also tell you if Audio and video are 'out of synch', but only if they were brought in together, and only if you don't delete them.
