Not possible the last time I checked, but maybe some new contraption was invented.

[If doable, some people may alter their mounts/cameras to make room for the lenses.]

From a physical point of view it is impossible to make a simple EF to PL adapter. The PL mount and the EF mount have a diameter of 54mm but EF has a flange focale distance of 44mm and PL 52...

The camera you purchased was at one time developed and meant to be used by the 1% (Hollywood), and the only mount in that world is the PL mount.

You could find a cheap/used PL lens to get started if you were planning on doing more than a few tests here and there with tape.

Thanks, will still give it a go.

Simply looking for a solution to use readily available modern lenses, vintage lenses as well for reasonable prices.

There are more and more cheap PL's available all the time, so it can be cheaper to. go that route.

But if you take the screws out and remove the PL mount you'll see you can easily bolt some other mount on there. The issue is flange discount and the diameter of the opening. However, if you are good with machining or 3D printing, you cold make your own faceplate and bolt the sensor block onto that. Might save you several millimeters and allow you to put an EF mount on there.

Also, if you are really handy, you could replace the IR filter and take apart a speed booster and shove the lens element in front of the sensor and turn the F35 into a Full frame CCD camera.

Like how handy? I mean in the measurement of handyness being what? speedboost what?

I don’t follow.

Handy, as in enjoy tinkering and willing to take on a DIY project with some confidence.

Speedboost the F35. I was playing around with the idea. I wanted to make the F35 a large format camera.

Yup, your easiest/cheapest/sensible/pragmatic path is to go with some affordable PL Mount lenses.

Such as Rokinon Xeen PL lenses, or Sony CineAlta PL lenses, or any of the many Chinese/Russian rehoused stills lenses in PL Mount, are a few of the cheaper options to consider. With constantly more options popping up, such as the SLR Magic PL Lenses etc etc

Hahaha, every one trying to make the F35 something else. 4K, IMAX, speedboosters, duct tape and super glue... let her live, let her breathe people!!!

Agreed.

Mine had a fan issue, so i was considering doing an infrared ff35 mod for music video uses. But luckily i was able to sell it to a more caring person.

If someone wants to use EF glass, there are other cameras. Haha. But Some of the best F35 footage was shot on the Nikon lens mount mod. So, who am i to judge. :)

I agree.

An adapter sounds like a lot of trouble just to use the camera „the wrong way“. Sorry.

A few years ago I would understand. But now PL lenses are quite affordable and there are several basic options.

From a functional point of view, I personally would never want to use anything but PL with cameras like the F35 and Alexa anyway.

And full frame is just so overrated.
