Trying to find answer to my question I've searched these forums and have confused myself even more. The XH A1 is 1080i right? So how does it capture progressive in 24F? Basically, here is what I would need help with:
1. I got an 1080i HDTV to edit film; should have I gotten 720p since Canon does 24F progressive? (I shoot HD) or is there no difference?
2. When using A1 on Avid, while editing a 24F footage, should I choose 24 fps or 23.97 in AVID? I've read on some forum that 23.97 might be better for Canon due to the 24F but I have no clue what was really going on.
PLEASE PLEASE help me with these issues. I would greatly appreciate a quick response to both of these issues. Thank you.
