Please help im dead!!!!!!

my hvx200 dosent work at all, the menu button dosent display the menu, when i put a tape in the cam dosent recognise the tape, the button between tape and cam not working, when i try to switch the cam off the power still stays on. i have tryed evrything, turned system off and power, u name it

Please heeeeeeeeeeelp!!
 
We have seen this problem in the past. It involves two bad ribbons and a part for the top button pad. We keep all of the parts in stock to keep turnaround time to a minimum but it is a service shop repair, not a DIY.

Is either of the problematic ribbons part of a movable item- such as the LCD or viewfinder?
Just wondering if limiting movement of the item would help hold off the repair.

Unfortunatly no. The only reason why I could see them going bad is do to vibration. It doesn't need to be either. Just standard use will do it.
