PLEASE HELP! HPX170 User Buttons and White Balance Switch not responding

I recently bought a HPX170 and have a problem with the user buttons and white balance switch. With the user buttons, the buttons do not respond with any of the settings with me pressing them and holding them down firmly. The white balance switch does not respond when i switch between the preset, a, and b settings (although the white balance works but i dont know what mode it is in). I am wondering if anyone has had this problem, and if this is a settings problem or hardware related.

I have it set to manual more than 90% of the time, and i still get no response. And yes, I do apologize for that. I was trying to post in a more general sub-forum and i could not figure out how to delete the old thread
