C100: Please Explain Difference Between the Two Models of 70-200 Zoom

The 70-200 2.8 IS II is one of the most desired lenses for good reason...the image is just beautiful. Specs aside, there's a special quality to it.
Unfortunately it does come with a price and weight above the f4 version. The 2.8 II does hold it's value well so you won't lose as much if you ever decide to sell it. Not that you would once you've been shooting with it.
 
Really, I don't like all the talk about "oh you've got a c100 you don't need anything faster than a f4 lens!". I call bull crap on that. I used the 24-105 when I first got my c100 and was very disappointed by the creative limitations with a f4 aperture. Missed alot of shots in location/event shooting trying to fumble around with that goofy lens. Hated it. Always good to have as much light sensitivity as you can so that when you do need it you can use it. Not all of us just shoot stuff in sunny outdoor environments people ;)

+1, thats one of the reasons I dont have any zoom lens. Even for Run n gun, a nice 35mm 1.4 does the job. but sometimes the photographers hated me for being so close (trying to grab a closeup by getting so close to the subject. What the hell should I do otherwise, so Fxxxing crowded)

but yeah, my run n gun for C100 lens setup is a 24mm, 35mm, and a 100mm.

you wont miss a shot, creativity comes from Primes ! YAHRRRRRRRRRR! lol
 
anyways, back to the topic, 2.8 is nice on 70-200. Love it. If you dont need DOF, just get a parfocal video camera, not C100.

The reason Im SPENDING LOTS OF MONEY ON A CAMERA WITH MANUAL FOCUS ONLY IS BECAUSE I NEED THAT DOF WHICH CHEAP VIDEO CAMERAS CANT DO !

oh c100 has autofocus ? forget it, lol
