Playstation 3...........WOW!

Fifa 07 was terrible?

That's the most fun I've ever had playing a game... and I don't even like soccer.

FIFA 64 is easily the best soccor game ever. All the new FIFA's cant get my interest.

Maybe I should buy that game.

My last console was a Sega Dreamcast, but I have an N64. I play'd FIFA 07 at my friend's house and I thought it was awesome.

Ps3 aint all the shiz. Blu-ray is alright....but they will be sorry if that loses out in the end.

Making it an optional attatchment would have been smarter. I like that Microsoft gives you choices and allows for changes. You dont have the money for a 400 dollar system right now? Alright...buy a hard drive later. You dont want an HD dvd player? Ok...we won't be greedy fu(ks and force you to buy it.

Dammit I hate Sony.

hey im happy. i hated 360 bcuase its lack there of weston. dont have a hddvd player well thats ok you can buy one but there will never be hd dvd games.... 20 gig is what i got i didnt need all the internet stuff.

I would have to say spidey, that without live the 360 wouldn't be half as fun. Every few monthes when they take live down for updates, it's like torture.

Playing online with people is so much fun. You don't have to get them to come to your house, plus you can play with people all the time. Unlike most games were you play a computer that is programmed to do the same thing over and over.

and on the ps3 I would have to say, Yes will have better graphics, and high def discs, but how many games will take advantage of that? I know the developers of the game Lair is claiming that each level takes up 4 gigs of space, but it could just be lazy programming, or non compression. Compression is one reason most of the 360 games can fit on a dual layer dvd.

And the 360 can easily add an update that would allow the HD-DVD drive to run games, i'm sure. I mean, if M$ ever sees the need to, I know they will. But so far the PS3 has had a bad launch, with most consoles only being bought to sell, many kiosks freezing repeatedly, updates as soon as you start the console, and a bad online marketplace for content. Plus the 60 gig's two tone color is horrible imo.

That said, is till want one.

p.s. Wii FTW!

microsoft said the hddvd drive wont have games ever its not what they designed it for they said...

i got the 20 gig one becuase the on big difference beside the drive space was that it was wifi ... I play online but just with ethernet so im happy.

Spidey, once you play a winning eleven game, Fifa just won't cut it...

Fifa 07 just has terrible tackling, Too much motion capture, wich makes for some unrealistic movements from the players- they turn their heads left and right when they shoot, and don't respond well when changing speed and directions- Thru balls are nowhere near as fluid as in Winning Eleven, and, also, the players look like they came out from the wax museum. A big disappointment.

I bought a second hand game this week, based on george Romero's Dawn of the Dead (which they sy it isn't, but, off course it is :) ) It's called "Dead Rising". Its lot of fun. Best 360 game so far, at least for me (with Test Drive Unlimited coming at a close second.)

Just saw some blu ray movies on the PS3- They look good, but not out of this world.

haha SPZ that's funny that you say Test Drive Unlimited is a close second, I was playing Uno the other night with a guy that works for Atari in Australia, and he is working on the PS2/PSP versions of Test Drive Unlimited and he said that they are basically changing the way it controls totally because the 360 version was rushed and not polished enough. He even went as far to say it was horrible. I said, "Nice way to stand behind your product, don't want to get fired much do you?" and he was like, "oops, haha." It was pretty cool.

But i hear the game is actually fun, even if the developer doesn't especially like it.

Well, the driving is similar to their old game V-Rally for the Dreamcast, which is okay, but what I particularly like in this is just driving around looking at the scenery. Since I live in a very small place with very limited roads- Macau- It just feels good to be cruising in a semi-realistic world with a car... (Which is just the opposite of what I do in real life here, which is being stuck in traffic jams and going at 10 km/h... :( )

Yay, finally got one! Alot of features i didnt think of mainly playing mp4 HD movies from my SD cards

It reads that fast? Sheesh. Nice, dude. Still won't get one until way-later. But good to know that it isn't all bad.

Nothing in the world will ever beat the Wii , until Nintendo tops itself. But the PS3 is really worth every penny imo. I paid about 150 more than retail for this one from craigslist, after getting scammed on ebay for almost 900 bucks. Just got that money back after 10 days of this guy ducking dodging and doing everything he could to get away with the money, he almost did too. Long story, anyways, im happy. Ive been watching TONS of HD-DVD movies on the 360 HD-DVD player, and now my Netflix is all loaded up with Blu-Ray versions of everything if available. Cant wait for Lady in the Water on Blu-Ray , I avoided it in theatres to watch it at home in HD.

This thing does alot, and the web browser is a nice addition as well. Games dont take forever to load into the game browser, never says reading disc when you insert it, it takes about 3 seconds and its there. The resolution settings are kinda wonky but those are rumored to be fixed in a firmware update.

As far as gaming goes as a whole, im not that interested in much right now on it. though resistance fall of man multiplayer KILLS Gears of War's broken team last man standing only online play. Gears has a decent single player and thats about it for me.

Also the ability to easily swap out the HDD with just 1 screw and no hacking is very nice. Test have already been done and its been said to stay with a 5400 rpm drive and just focus on the cache size and disk capacity. Faster drives might have heat problems , who knows. Ill probably get a 120gb from Fry's to upgrade into it at a later date.

Another great feature im looking foward to is downloading PS1 games to my PSP via USB 2.0 from the PS3. Looking foward to being able to take some classics with me to finally beat them. With 4gb Memory Sticks at 120 bucks now its a great addition. And if the prices of the PS1 games in Japan stay the same in the States, then they will be around 5 to 8 bucks a peice! NICE! Cant beat the Wii Virtual Console, but kills the 70's arcade games for 10 bucks to 15 bucks from the Xbox marketplace. The Wii marketplace is what everyone was thinking when MS revealed theres in lackluster fashion. Anyways, enough ranting, more tooling around. :)

Damn Cynic. Thanks for that. I didnt' evne know you could DL Ps1 games to the PSP!!!

Final Fantasy 7 on PSP!?!? Sounds like a deal to me!!!

I'm looking forward to next years launch titles. That's when I'll have a PS3 and PSP and Wii.

Great job on the 150.00 over. I've been telling people that you can get them for just one or two hundred more.

HAHA, ill talk more about it and if anyone has questions ill answer. Ya the PS1 thing is already out in Japan, and its already been prepared in the States with system updates allowing it to the PSP and PS3, just waiting for the store to open. I want Silent Hill 1 on it, i never finished it and doesnt play over component cables on a PS2 for some reason.

Prices have dropped specifically on the 20gb version. Only difference is the Wi Fi, which will mainly come in handy for of course the Wifi if you dont want to run a cable, or if you want to do some remote control thing that controls the media functions of the PS3 from the PSP. The smaller HDD, and lack of SD/Compact Flash/Memory Stick ports is a MINOR concern since ANY USB 2.0 all in one memory card reader works 100% garaunteed on the system, i have one already. Also i dont miss the 40gb i lose on the cheaper version because im going to put a bigger hard drive in there, and everyone should and will when you realize how easy it is, i mean Sony even put the instructions in the system manual on how to do it , a nice bonus.

Another one of the things i look foward to is Linux and the rumored OS X (i know im dreaming, but ya never know) running on the system. Linux is already tested and working on the PS3, and its legit as well. In the System Settings menu on the PS3 there is an option that says "Install OTHER OS" on to the Hard Drive, you can reformat the drive for this and once you get another drive for the system, you can swap out the drives and what not. Aside from hollywood jumping in with their copy right and DRM stuff on blu ray movies, Sony really opened it up for this round, which i think is awesome. Remember when everyone was hacking the original XBox to make it better, well thats encouraged now appearantly. Sweet
