hey guys, im new here and im in the process of completing a short film shot entirely with the canon 550D/T2i . Once i have my final project done (edited on Premiere cs4) what settings do you guys recommend to burn onto a dvd with not much compression.

You'll have to export at DVD standards, which is MPEG-2. This is fairly compressed from your nice, pretty HD footage, but the T2i can handle it. I've screened my projects on a 20-foot cinema screen and they look fantastic.

I'm assuming if you have Premiere CS4, you probably have Encore as well. Encore will transcode your final output file for you. Pretty straightforward.

Personally I think the best method is to play it off some sort of computer, that way the source file could be HD and you wouldn't really lose anything.

i did some tests by exporting to mpeg2 and the quality looked really good on my standard tv but my hdtv looked like crap!
