Played with a C100 Today - Some footage from that - Non Scientific Test Footage

Forgive the crude nature of the filming, but I thought it'd be nice to show for those who just wanna see non-fancy footage of the cam. Some low light, some moire and rolling shutter quick tests. On my computer it is much sharper than my MKIII.

Thank you! At times I prefer these tests. As I often shoot in uncontrolled situations, these are more 'realistic' to my uses. Thank you again.

According to the Vimeo page comments, it was EOS Standard everywhere in the video except the parts specifically labeled "Cinema" So most of the beginning part is EOS Standard. Looks great...nice DR and handling of the high/low end.

Yeah, EOS standard except in the parts that are labeled. Sorry about the white balance being off. Totally new beast to me, from a DSLR.

I suppose you recorded to the SD card, right?.. Not an external recorder, correct?

The overall image quality is outstanding for an AVCHD 24 Mbps 4.2.0 codec. The aliasing seems tolerable and the only thing I noticed was some significant wobble.

Also, in your ISO testing, with low light at 20,000 the blacks seem to have lots of grain and blocking artifacts... However, the Cinema Style with the Levels Adjustment looks impeccable.

Two things I don't like about the camera (besides the codec and lack of Slo Mo), are the EVF being too small and fixed, and the LCD that stays protruded to the left, once flipped. I mean, it should have a sliding mechanism besides the flipping mechanism. We should be able to slide it left or right, apart from flipping it. It looks awkward like that.
